hi good to hear from you guys from afghanistan – i’m trying to find your individual emails to talk to you further about what we can do. Written words are accepted too which can go up on the website alone http://www.bbcworldservice.com/yourstory – if you have some english articles and photos that we can try and work on getting some of those stories up on the website http://www.bbcworldservice.com/yourstory.
Please upload your photos audio and video here or you can email me directly nina.robinson@bbc.co.uk
i am in talks with the BBC pashto section about trying to get more audio pieces, but if there is some way we can get english audio for the english radio network, that would be great. I am ordering some extra recorders which hopefully i should get in the new year.
all the best
Nina

Abdulrahman writes about his home country of Somaliland
At 11 years of age, the armed Forces of Somalia started bombing our city – Hargiesa – which is the current capital of Somaliland. 500,000 unarmed civilians were killed in less than four months and another two million were displaced to UN refugee camps in Ethiopia.
I lost some of my relatives in the bombing including my grandmother. Half of my school friends died during the mass killing.
After three months of walking, we arrived in Ethiopia and registered at UN refugee camps. They supplied food and clothes, and even established schools. I restarted my schooling there. Many people died from malaria; mainly the elderly and children.
I met some of my old friends in the camp. Every child had a different story to tell, one told me that he lost all his family during the air bombing another said that soldiers killed his father and elder brother, and raped his sisters.
I later returned home with assistance from UN agencies, who provided transportation for us. Our houses were destroyed by the air-bombing and we had to restart our lives from zero point.
When I visited home later in my life, in 2005, I discovered that social services were much better; today, we have 24 hr electricity and water, we have streetlights, modern schools with computers; and remarkably, an elected President, Parliament and Municipality Council.
This is my story, and until today we are working on developing our country better.

this is true story becuase i have been in Somaliland.
This people are remarkable and very unique. They worked hard to build their country without support.
We should all thank to them for making their part of the world a better place.

Dear Nina,
I am currently residing in Dhaka,Bangladesh but am a Nepali by origin.I along with my friends have participated in many competitions, most of them to raise awareness.I have prepared a plan in the past month to do a documentary on the Poverty in Bangladesh.
This will be a group effort by teenagers (16-17 years old).We are planning to finish this by May and submit it but we aren’t sure where to submit it in order to make ourselves heard.
I think this Citizen Journalism by BBC is an amazing opportunity for youngsters to make themselves heard.I am sure you would like to know our plan and maybe showcase it to people from other countries.
Hoping for a reply soon!

Hi! I’ve just come across your site and wondered if there are any opportunities for us to link up? I was listening to the radio yesterday and talked to colleagues saying it was great that this was going out to young people in schools but we end up working with lots of young people who aren’t in school and it would be great to get their stories heard. I blog about my work with young people and would be keen to see what we can do. My blog can be found here:- http://ukyouthblog.wordpress.com/

Please don’t say or write lies about the Tamils struggle.Do you think we all are liers. When Britons caught Ceylon there were two seperate kingdoms and your ancestors united them into one for admininstrative convenience. They forgot to divide when they left in 1948. So, you Britons have a duty to end this war and give us our seperate independant state. Otherwise your generations are going to suffer for your mistakes. The sins wouldn’t leave you all.
